Jeffery West

This brand offers something for the man with the most exquisite taste and passion for high quality shoes.

Jeffery West

Probably the best way to describe the influences of Jeffery West shoes would be the following:
Regency dandies with a pinch of twentieth century subculture and a drizzle of Fin de siécle decadence, served on a plate of hellraisers to Oliver Reed!
The story of how Jeffery West came to be is a true inspiration. Formed of Mark Jeffery and Guy West they started their business as childhood friends in a purpose built manufacturing facility located in a garden shed!

The roots of Jeffery West remain so loyal. Quality and craftsmanship are core to the brand. Guy in his own words has an interest in fashion just doesn't follow it! His designs are formed on personality and influences.

Questions and Answers

To help improve your online shopping experience, we have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions we receive about the Jeffery West shoes. However if you require any additional information, please contact us on 01622 752349 to speak to someone who knows the product you are interested in.

Can Jeffery West shoes be repaired?
—  Jeffery West offer a repair service on their Goodyear Welted and Blake stitched shoes. They do not repair the Muse collection or Black line, however a good cobbler would be able to bond a rubber sole piece over the original unit.

Can the heel be repaired?
—  The heel can be repaired by any good cobbler. The Muse and Black lines will be a fairly straight forward repair however the Goodyear Welt and Blake constructed shoes will require the heel to be cut into the Jeffery West trade mark cleft heel shape.

How do I look after my Jeffery West shoes?
—  The leather used and the finish’s applied vary from style to style. In the description of each product we will recommend the correct shoe care product to use. We strongly recommend you use cedar wood shoe trees in every pair of Jeffery West shoes.

Where are they made?
—  The Goodyear welt collection are made in Northampton. The Blake stitched in Italy and the Muse collection in Spain.

Do they come in ½ sizes?
—  The Goodyear welts are available in ½ sizes. We only stock the Blake and Muse collections in UK full sizes.

How do they fit?
—  We find that the Goodyear welt collection are made on a slightly narrower last. If you have a broader foot we would recommend you go for styles in the Muse collection. Due to the nature of the toe shape Jeffery West generally aren’t suitable for a very wide foot.

Are they hard wearing?
—  The majority of the Jeffery West range are made using leather soles, the advantage of using a leather sole is its breath ability, however they will never be as durable as a synthetic sole. This fact in mind the Goodyear welt and Blake ranges tend to be a little more durable than the Muse collection, as the Muse collection is constructed using a thin cemented sole.

Why is it so difficult to get hold of specific Jeffery West styles that are found with one stockist yet not another?
—  The unique thing about Jeffery West is the ranges tend to be very specific to each stockist. The store buyer can specify the make-up of each individual shoe, leather and finish etc. Jeffery West has several of its own shops, if you have seen something elsewhere we will happily see if Jeffery West will send it to us from its own shops.

I’ve seen a Jeffery West style in another shop can you order it for me?
—  Yes we will if it is available. Jeffery West tends to hold no stock and the styles for each shop are made to order so not every style will be available.

Will the flamboyant finish on the sole unit rub off?
—  The Sole units on the majority of Jeffery West styles are made of leather. The red and print finish is applied for show room appeal and will rub off after a period of time.

When do you introduce new styles?
—  Our Autumn/Winter collection is delivered in August through to September and capsule collection in November. The Spring Summer collection is delivered in February through to March. If you want us to keep you up to date with New Arrivals please just email us.
